rainy, snotty birthday fun

despite the disgusting weather and yucky cold, joon had a very nice birthday yesterday.
she's now two years old and strangely she does seem a whole lot more grown-up all of a sudden.

because i still intend to get the "two years rewound" post with lots of old pics up, i don't have much time to write about yesterday. but our recent uploads to flickr here and here sum it all up pretty well. if you're a die hard fan of our kid, there's also new stuff on joontoob for you to enjoy. i may upload more video later today.

so. thank you for all the wonderful gifts, cards, phonecalls and love you have for us and our children! we hope you enjoy the birthday footage and prepare for lots of" joon and annalie at the zoo cuteness" in a few more days.

in light of what's about to happen...

i've somehow managed to recover joon's old online photoalbum and gathered some more pictures from this past year.

if for some crazy reason i won't waste my evening browsing baby pictures and getting really really sad i'll upload more pictures later.

so if you have some time to spare and are feeling a little nostalgic, go ahead and start browsing.

she'll only be a baby for a few more hours. crazy. and the universe apparently meant for her to be a very babylike version of joon today, because brilliantly timed, she's sick and feeling yucky. so we're loving on her and cuddling and that's what i'm gonna get back to. right. this. minute.

annalie's birthday

joon's very best friend and frequent partner in crime, annalie, turned two yesterday!
we went over to the cho's house in the afternoon for lots of fun play, gift giving, extremely delicious cake and brownies, a little forest adventure and then finally very delayed but tasty pizza.
we got back home at nine thirty and were all tired but happy and had the best night sleep we've had in a loooooong time.

yay! for birthdays!! we should do more of those. wait. there's another one coming up only three days from now. how convenient. ;)

the kid is about to turn two and i'm kina freaking out over it. trying not to let it surface too much but still... my baby is totally not a baby anymore. of course that's very exciting, but i'd be lying if i didn't admit to my heart breaking a little as well.

good thing we've got a super cuddly full-on baby around still! :)
