dear santa...

here are some goodies which would bring us great joy...

joon would love

a sling for her baby  in size medium
counting stars and color sorting bowls
a crayon wallet
if you want to go really nuts or slightly less crazy
a fancy new dress!! this one is big on her list. and almost impossible to predict. of the eight or so dresses she has, she will wear two. the rest "don't swing well". so swingyness is an important factor here and at least remotely predictable. i'm afraid everything else is left up to her mercy at this point. she's gotten extremely picky with her clothes. so going with what i think i know about her taste (no guarantees. sorry.) these may be good options... vintage deer, applicious, red knots, mara, hazel, savanna, willow grove, morning glory, juicy lemons
an owl hat
she easily wears a size 4 or even 5 on shorter/slimmer pieces.
clothing wise she could also use socks, leggings (she's very picky on these too! they have to be super soft, no ruffles or lace added and, of course, "pretty" is important. whatever that means...) long sleeve t-shirts to go under dresses and such, hoodies

mika would love

a sling for her baby in size small
an apron like this and hat, or this, or a set to match with mama, or even girlier
a backpack
a crayon wallet
lacing beads
animal cookie cutters
an owl hat
mika needs NO other clothes. her wardrobe is bursting as it is.

baby doesn't need anything, but if you HAVE to buy something

a hat would be lovely. this one is nice too. as is this (size small, NOT newborn. our babies have big heads)
or a very special little quilt. we like these... mulitprint, rainbow, windmills, spice and lice, mini pinwheels, rainbow squares, triangles

now if you feel you feel that grown ups need presents too, here are some ideas...

mama would like

color your cloth
fabric  urban circus, tufted tweets, innocent crush petal and innocent crush potpourri

papa would like

listen to this
voltaic (from german amazon because our dvd player won't play the american version)
contributions to studio gear via paypal
subscription to musikexpress music magazine (lemme know if you need help with this)

one last note...
now more than ever, because of joon's eczema and my fear the other two will get it too, if you would like to give them clothes, please make sure they are 100% cotton, bamboo or silk. joon has been reacting very sensitively to wool and is uncomfortable in artificial fibers. this also makes me more concerned with plastic-y, rubbery prints and appliques on clothing and plastic toys and children's gear in general. so please, whenever possible, as natural as possible. better for our kids' health and the health of mother earth which is worth much much more than any christmas present ever. :)

if you have any questions or would like to "cross things off the list" so there are no doubles, you know where to find me. ;)

much love from all of us to all of you! wir wuenschen euch allen eine schoene, ruhige, gemuetliche adventszeit!
